Bramnick Supports Legislation So People Charged with Gun Crimes Are Not Released on Bail
Senator Jon Bramnick is supporting bipartisan legislation that would help keep potentially dangerous criminals off the streets prior to trial.

“People charged with gun crimes should not be out on bail,” said Bramnick (R-21). “This will change the law so those charged with gun possession aren’t immediately released to the streets. Keeping criminals with guns detained will make New Jersey neighborhoods safer.”
Under the legislation, S-513, defendants charged with a firearm-related crime would be held while awaiting trial.
